Police Department Headquarters, Greeley, Colorado
A multi-element installation for a Police Department entrance lobby.
This project was a design team collaboration with Anderson Mason Dale Architects. While commissioning the design and construction of their new Police Department Headquarters, the City of Greeley requested integrated artwork that would communicate the dignity and respect afforded to Law Enforcement providers. As a result, the lobby space is anchored by a ceremonial terrazzo floor, with a Police Officer’s brass badge at its center.
On the second floor wall above this floor is a series of sandblast-etched glass panels. These panels depict a collage of important moments in the history of the Greeley Police Force, and their ghost-like images are illuminated by concealed edge lighting.
