Englewood City Center Parking Structure, Englewood, Colorado
A metal and neon sculptural relief for the City’s parking structure.
This sculptural wall-relief overlooks the area’s Light Rail line and its primary highway from the vantage point of the Englewood City Center Parking Structure. Designed with Light Rail users and highway drivers in mind, it is meant to be seen from a passing train or a moving car. The speed and movement of the car, at different times of day and night, augments the implied motion of the sculptural design. The resulting effect is to reinforce the importance of transportation for the City of Englewood, acknowledging the City’s past and anticipating its future. This abstract metal and neon design honors the City of Englewood by portraying its qualities of vitality, growth, and opportunity.
